Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Define and implement inventory policies for each product category.

  • Ensure stock levels are managed effectively in line with business needs.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and resolve any supply issues.

  • Collaborate with third-party logistics partners to ensure adequate warehouse space, manpower, and resources for smooth operations.

  • Manage stock transfers across warehouses and external locations, including cross-company movements as required.

  • Align procurement planning with sales forecasts, promotional activities, and confirmed customer orders.

  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports.

  • Monitor market trends, product availability, and cost factors to optimize sourcing decisions.

  • Establish clear procedures for handling customer requests and ensure timely, accurate resolution.

  • Analyze procurement data to anticipate future needs and support customer and internal requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team to build capabilities and enhance efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

  • Identify challenges within the team and implement effective solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with brand representatives, internal stakeholders, and external customers to align expectations.

  • Partner with key business functions to ensure procurement supports overall company objectives.

Other Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies, standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively with all stakeholders.

  • Ensure workplace cleanliness, safety, and professional standards are upheld.

  • Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management, ideally within retail, food, or distribution industries.

  • At least 3 years in a management role, leading teams and overseeing procurement functions.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and compliance practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems (ERP/MRP knowledge is an advantage).

  • Strong planning, organizational, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
