Job Description

The role is responsible to lead and develop Thailand project engineering team to deliver all capital projects safely, on time and to agreed budget. Ensures projects are executed to company standards and deliver required benefits to the business, while upholding company core values and principles at all times.

Core Responsibilities: (list in order of critical deliverables, just the main responsibilities in detail)

• Strategic Planning: Capital projects aligned behind the business strategy. Resources and capabilities in place to deliver according to agreed strategic milestone
• Project Management: Overall project management for all major projects from budgeting, planning, utilization of leading project management tools, implementation of globally best known engineering designs and solutions, timely execution, resource management, and communication.
• Project Delivery:  Projects executed according to agreed plans and to company standards. Provide technical process, project expertise, and consultation to engineering activities, supporting completion of major capital projects
• Project Excellence: Further establish Thailand Engineering standards aligned to corporate guideline
• Continuous Improvement & Benchmarking: Benchmarking against best in practice and always challenging team to find better and smarter ways to provide a sustainable competitive advantage
• People Management: Right people in the right roles. Coaching and motivating through leading by example and developing people to maximize their potential. Recognize success and learn from failures

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

• Qualifications – Degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical or control engineering
• Experience - Minimum of 15 years in engineering and project management within a multinational company, managing people in multiple locations. and with projects exceeding at least $10MM. Experience in a similar industry and experience in line operations management role preferred
• Language - Fluent in both English and Thai
• Networking & influencing – Comfortable and effective at communicating with multiple stakeholders at different levels to get “buy-in”
