Job Title: Regional Director of Quality Assurance

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional QA Director to lead the quality function across our semiconductor operations within the SEA region. This position will oversee quality assurance, quality control, and compliance initiatives at multiple sites including manufacturing plants, R&D centers, and/or supplier locations. The role is key to aligning regional quality systems with global standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring product and process excellence throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all QA operations across multiple facilities or contract manufacturers in the assigned region.
  • Develop and execute regional quality strategies in alignment with global quality goals and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, AEC-Q100/101), customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks (RoHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Oversee product qualification, reliability testing, and quality control during semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and testing processes.
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of quality processes across regional sites.
  • Manage quality teams, including QA engineers, QC inspectors, and quality system auditors.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts for internal issues, customer complaints, and field returns.
  • Partner with regional supply chain and procurement teams to ensure supplier quality and compliance.
  • Represent the region during internal and external audits, including customer audits, third-party certifications, and regulatory inspections.
  • Utilize data and metrics to monitor quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a proactive, data-driven, and continuous improvement-oriented quality culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in semiconductor quality roles, with 5+ years in regional or multi-site leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end (wafer fabrication) and/or back-end (assembly, packaging, test) semiconductor processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing QMS systems in a multi-site, international environment.
  • Familiarity with statistical quality tools (SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, 8D) and software platforms for quality tracking.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ CQE, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial semiconductor applications.
  • Direct experience working with foundries, OSATs, or fabless environments.
  • Proficiency in English; additional regional languages a plus.
