Job Description
As the Category and Channel Development Manager for Open Trade, Baby Shop, and Pharmacy (GT), you will be responsible for developing and executing channel-specific strategies that align with the company’s category vision and overall business direction. Your goal is to drive sustainable growth by understanding shopper behavior, identifying channel opportunities, and ensuring executional excellence across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy & Demand Creation

Develop channel-specific strategies for Open Trade, Baby Shops, and Pharmacies that align with the company’s category vision and brand objectives.

Identify shopper needs and channel insights to drive demand creation and build a winning presence in assigned channels.

Define and implement SPMS (Sales, Promotion, Merchandising, and Stock) tailored to the unique characteristics of each GT channel.

Sales Execution & Activity Management

Design and implement effective in-store activities that engage shoppers and enhance brand visibility in GT environments.

Manage channel execution in terms of pricing, promotions, and distribution to ensure consistent sales growth and presence.

Build monthly sales plans and priorities to support field sales teams in meeting SPMS and business targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Align closely with Marketing, Sales, and Medical teams to co-create actionable plans that address both shopper and customer needs in each GT sub-channel.

Ensure effective coordination of channel activities and consistency with broader category strategies.

Budget & Performance Monitoring

Maximize trade marketing budgets by prioritizing high-impact activities and tracking ROI to ensure efficient use of resources.

Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all channel activities, ensuring timely delivery and performance against objectives.

Develop and manage annual and monthly GT channel budgets and ensure alignment with overall sales targets.

Business Development & Opportunity Mapping

Conduct regular channel assessments to understand market trends, category performance, and emerging opportunities.

Develop and implement channel growth strategies and initiatives to support long-term business development and elevate the professionalism of channel partners and concessionaire networks.

Maintain strong knowledge of the evolving GT landscape to proactively identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications & Key Skills

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Strong experience in trade marketing, category/channel development, and business planning within general trade or pharmacy channels.

Excellent analytical thinking, strategic planning, and execution management skills.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
-
High level of initiative, adaptability, and results-driven mindset.

Good understanding of shopper behavior, channel dynamics, and customer development in GT environments.
